The Dorval Historical Society is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1984 by Dorval residents Germaine Racine, Ann Lachance and Jean-Louis Rousse who wished to promote and preserve Dorval history for future generations. Membership is open to anyone interested in the history of Dorval. The Dorval Historical Society is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. Monthly meetings featuring a guest speaker are held in the fall and winter. Please see Lectures for the full schedule.

The DHS has a vault of archival material and photos which may be consulted by members of the public who take an appointment. The DHS works in close conjunction with the Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage
